In a nutshell, the "old boy" network, you play, you stay. Sometimes good morals can leave you without a job and a blackball rating to finding another one, if you can live with yourself, turn a blind eye, no one short of God himself will reward you with doing the right thing this time. It is sad to say, but there is no right way out of this, except to get a good recommendation and move away to where things are more honest.
