Why is my mic volume so low?

I just got a Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Sigma headset, and the mic volume is so insanely low. I looked at all the settings I could find but everywhere says the mic is at 100% volume. The microphone IS facing the correct way. How do I boost the volume on the mic so that it's clearly audible?
