Carcinogens article follow up kuwait or iraq?

i read an aricle in time magazine about the burning of the oil wells in kuwait as the iraqi army retreated in it the effects of carcinogens was mentioned a health hazard was iraq as effected as kuwait is it even worse in kuwait in iraq and kuwait now . i would like a follow up
