I'm getting ready to purchase another gaming system, and which is better between the two CPUs?

I'm preparing to purchase another gaming system, and find myself in a confusing cirstance as to which is going to be better for gaming purposes. Here's the two CPU's which has me confused. One is a Quad with the spec's of 65 nm Architecture, 8MB L2 Cache, 2.4 GHz Clock Speed, 1066 MHz FSB. The other processor is a Duo with the spec's of, 45 nm Architecture, 6MB L2 Cache, 3 GHz Clock Speed, 1333 MHz FSB. Which one of these two processor's would be more successful at playing games more smoothly?
