Riddle: In a bag, there are 32 green gems and 32 red gems, how many would you have to remove to..(cont. below)?

I'm not exactly certain, but if you remove 62 of the 64 gems, you will be left will 2 gems, which are separate from each other. The riddle asks for 2 different gems, but not of different colors, just not the same gem. So, remove 62 gems, doesn't matter what 62 gems.
