Anyone ever been "upfront" with a Bank about financial difficulties.?

Generally speaking if you call and ask for istance or warn them they will grant it to you. If they foreclose they risk losing money where as if they give you some leniency they can still make a profit and keep a customer. My bank does automatic withdrawal from my account. One of the ladies at the bank altered my date and it never withdrew. I went two months before it was caught. It was due to their error, but yet they wanted to foreclose. I had also just taken the mortgage out and to them i was missing the first months payments. I have had some issues with the bank, but when i call and talk directly to them or the supervisor I get some leniency and they allow me to make the payments and business carries on as normal.
